Storytelling Privacy Choices
How a parent or guardian sees, changes or deletes what Storytelling holds about a child. What is on the device takes one tap and does not go through me; what is on the server, I delete when you ask.

01Do it yourself, in the app
- Change or clear the child’s name — in the app’s settings. A real name was never required — a nickname works exactly as well, and the hero’s name in a personalised story is optional.
- Turn off story-ready notifications — in Settings → Notifications → Storytelling. iOS revokes the permission immediately.
- Turn off Lock Screen progress — in Settings → Storytelling → Live Activities.
- Cancel the subscription — in Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel it.
- Delete everything on the device — remove the app. The name, preferences, listening history, cached stories and the list of created stories go with it, immediately.
02What is where, and how it is deleted
- Child’s name, preferences and listening history
- WhySettings, favourites, progress and where playback stopped.
- Where it goesOn the device. Deleting the app erases it. Immediate, no request.
- Personalised stories, and what they were made from
- WhyThe age, interests, kind of story, mood, narrator and optional name you entered, and the finished story, cover and narration.
- Where it goesOn the server, tied to the app’s anonymous ID. Email me to have them deleted — there is no in-app button for this yet.
- Story requests
- WhyThe title, and any name, age and interests you put in a request.
- Where it goesOn the server. Removing a request in the app marks it withdrawn; email me to have it erased.
- Usage analytics
- WhyEvents, screens and session recordings with text fields masked, in PostHog.
- Where it goesPostHog, EU. Email me to have the install’s data deleted.
- Subscription record
- WhyWhether Premium is active, kept by Apple and by RevenueCat under the app’s anonymous ID, and copied to my server so it can allow one story a day. It holds nothing about your child.
- Where it goesCancel with Apple; Apple keeps its own purchase record. Email me to have the RevenueCat record and my server’s copy deleted.
03For parents and guardians
A parent or guardian may exercise every right on this page on a child’s behalf, at any time, by emailing kolisnyk7@gmail.com. No account and no proof of purchase is needed. Because the app identifies an install only by an anonymous ID, it helps to tell me roughly when you made a story or a request, and its title, so I can find it.
If you believe a child has provided personal data you did not intend, contact me and I will delete it. Storytelling shows no advertising and never sends a child’s name, age or interests to an advertising or analytics service.
04Your rights, and how to use them
Depending on where you live, you have the right to ask what personal data is held about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format. In California you also have the right to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information.
To make any request, email kolisnyk7@gmail.com with what you want done. I answer these myself, within 30 days.
You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. In the EEA that is your national supervisory authority, in the UK the Information Commissioner’s Office, and in Ukraine the Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights.
